Inspired by 15 years of dancing, I chose to hang up my ballet shoes and move over to fitness. In the 14 years that I’ve been working in the fitness industry, I’ve been lucky enough to train & inspire hundreds, if not over a thousand people to take the small steps needed to make a big difference to their lives through fitness & nutrition. As well as personal training, I regularly teach HIIT, Hatton Boxing, Spinning, BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyBalance,Vinyasa, Ashtanga & Power Yoga.
I’ve always enjoyed sport and the rewards it could bring when you are at the top of your game mentally and physically. After giving up my first passion of football in my early 30’s due to Injury, I decided to take up road cycling. The feeling of tackling the highest mountains in Europe and Africa on 2 wheels is second to none but left me feeling that I needed to do more with my training, that’s why I decided to become a Spinning Instructor, Group Exercise & Hatton Boxing Coach.
Having been into my exercise and sport from the age of 8, becoming a Personal Trainer and studying nutrition for my degree was a natural progression for my career. Over the last 6 years, working with clients to become the best version of themselves is the reason I love my job. I specialise in Nutrition, exercise referral, pre & post natal exercise, training for older adults and injury rehab.
A series of sport induced injuries in my mid and late teens led me into my profession and ultimately my passion to become a physiotherapist. I qualified 18 years ago and have a plethora of experience both within professional sports, treating the weekend warrior and those who may be slightly less active! My passion is all things musculo-skeletal, bio-mechanical and developing self management strategies to empower patients in their recovery. I have been based in Guildford for the past 10 years and work directly with a number of orthopeadic and pain management specialists both in Surrey and London . I regularly teach matwork class Pilates and am APPI trained.
I am a Chartered Psychologist working in private practice and as a faculty member supporting the next generations of Psychologists on the City University London Counselling Psychology doctoral programme. Before becoming a Psychologist I worked in a fast paced marketing firm as an account manager and witnessed first hand the impact stress can have on wellbeing in the workplace. I have worked with many individuals over the years supporting them to make positive changes in their lives from overcoming stress and anxiety to recovery from complex trauma and eating disorders. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and I am passionate about the link between mind and body and supporting people to think about their emotional wellbeing holistically. I offer wellbeing workshops, coaching and psychology sessions.
I am a qualified nutritionist gaining my PhD from The University of Surrey studying dietary and physical activity levels in paediatric obesity. I am currently working at King’s College London investigating dietary fats on cardiovascular health and use my spare time to motivate people to stay fit and healthy through group exercise as a BodyAttack & HIIT instructor.
I've always been a keen gym-goer but have recently found my passion for group fitness after attending classes whilst at University. Since then, I decided to train as an instructor for HIIT, BodyPump, BodyAttack and Spinning so I can share my love for group fitness and encourage my participants to work hard and have fun at the same time.
I’ve been involved in fitness and holistic thinking my entire adult life, finding it invaluable in my personal development and complimentary to my professional career where I lead teams and development in a ‘suit wearing day job’. Originally a BodyCombat and high impact cardio junkie, I’ve learned through trial and error what works for my body and soul and am just as comfortable pushing limits in BodyPump or weight training or visiting my humble side in BodyBalance and yoga self-practice. Today I teach to share my passion for physicality paired with self-awareness, encouraging others to build confidence and self-trust, I particularly focus on creating a safe group environment for each individual to feel noticed, nurtured and challenged. Whether weight training, performing or engaging in yoga practice, I invite participants to be simply ‘in yourbody, on your journey and present in this moment' where you can choose to be powerful and strong, centred and calm or simply whatever you need or want to be.
