PRIVACY POLICY

Meraki takes very seriously the protection of your personal data, and neither Meraki nor the Trainer will ever share it with a third party (unless legally required to do so) for marketing purposes without your prior consent.  The information we hold is the information you have given us either in the form of a completed Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ), and/or the information you have provided in order to book a particular Service via the Meraki website. The type of personal information we hold includes the following:-

Your Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, Date of Birth, Emergency Contact (name and telephone number) and details relating to your physical fitness.    All of this information is necessary for us to be able to provide you with the relevant Service you have requested in an efficient and safe way, and to notify you of any special Meraki promotions or new Services that we think might be of interest to you from time to time.

We may pass your information to our third party service providers, for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process payments).  However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes.  Information on which service providers have access to your data can be provided on request.

The holding of your personal information is necessary whilst you remain a Meraki client.  At any time after you cease to use Meraki’s Services, you may instruct Meraki to remove all or some of your personal data from its records by using the form provided on the “Contact” page of the website. Similarly, you may use this form to notify us if you do not wish us to contact you regarding any Meraki promotions whilst you remain a Meraki client. If you do not request us to delete your personal information after you cease to be a Meraki client, we reserve the right to retain it until such time as you instruct us to delete it.  You have the right at any time to request a copy of the information we hold about you and we will provide this to you free of charge within one calendar month of your request.  You also have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you feel there is a problem with the way we handle your data.

If any of the information you have given us changes (for example your email address or telephone number) you can notify us using the form provided on the “Contact” page of the website, or by writing to us at Tanglin, 47 Linersh Wood Road, Bramley, Surrey, GU5 0EQ.

Our Services are not directed towards anyone under the age of 16 ("Child") and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a Child, we will take immediate steps to remove it.

If you do not wish your training to be filmed or pictures taken for marketing purposes, as envisaged under the “General” heading in these terms and conditions, you may instruct Meraki and/or the Trainer accordingly.

The information which you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside the European Union (“EU”) if, for example, any of our service providers’ servers are located in a country outside the EU.  These countries may not have similar data protection laws as the UK.  By submitting your personal data, you are agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing.  If we transfer your information outside of the EU in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy.

Occasionally we may add external website links to our website if we think they might be of interest to you.  Whilst we will make every effort only to link to safe, relevant sites, we cannot be responsible for their content or for the safety of your personal data once you access such third party sites. You should, therefore, be aware that you access these sites at your own risk.
